Beautifully bespoke: Hand-built Sienna whirlpool bath with personally tailored jets

When a long-standing client returned to us seeking a whirlpool bath after moving to a new property, there were two elements to the brief.

The brief

The first was to match the bath’s design aesthetically to the surrounding Edwardian style bathroom. A wooden panel would need to be fitted to complement the existing period-inspired features of the wider scheme. For this reason of tying the bath in with the heritage decor, a curved back was preferable to a square one.

Secondly, hydrotherapy was a must, with a tailored jet configuration required to target the client’s pain points.

With these factors in mind, our expert team crafted a bespoke whirlpool bath design, prioritising both the specific aesthetics, and need for optimum functional performance.

What we did

Custom design 

In response to the client’s requirements, we opted for the Sienna bath by Carron for its sleek design, and flexibility in allowing a wooden panel to be fitted to the outside.

Specially hand-made to measure at Carron’s UK factory by its team of experienced craftspeople, the bath unit was manufactured to the dimensions of the allocated space in the client’s bathroom, while including a deep rim for the wooden panel to sit seamlessly.

Purposeful jet positioning 

Whirlpool baths offer a multitude of health benefits through targeted hydrotherapy. And for these to be fully maximised, it’s important that jets are positioned specifically around a person’s body.

We use c-lenda jets by Markon, placed ergonomically either side of the spine, neck and shoulders to reach the key pressure points on the back, plus along the floor of the bath to meet the thigh and calf muscles. Just like a massage, this technique, which has been used for centuries, allows this client to access pain relief whenever needed, in the comfort of their own home.

Enhancing accessories 

To further enhance this bespoke bath, the client chose a selection of accessories. This included an electronic bath fill – as you’ll see in the video, this means no taps. Just an elegant duo of buttons. The water runs in through an overflow and the temperature is maintained, ensuring the perfect fill every time.

This bath also features Colour Stop Chromotherapy Lighting, allowing the water to be transformed into a hue of the client’s choice, enhancing mood and reducing stress.

The outcome
